The US Fortune magazine released the latest list of the world's top 500. Huawei entered the top 100 for the first time with an operating income of 78.512 billion US dollars, ranking 83rd, up 46 from the 129th place in the previous year. On February 23, 2018, Vodafone and Huawei completed the first 5G call test.

 

On February 27, 2018, Fraunhofer IIS and Huawei signed a global license agreement for a patent portfolio of MPEG-4 audio.
