Siemens Co., Ltd. is a German multinational company. Its electronic and electrical products are pioneers in the global industry and are active in the fields of energy, medical, industrial, infrastructure and urban business. In 1847 Siemens was founded in Berlin by founders Werner von Siemens and John George Harsk. As its medical department, it was renamed Siemens Healthcare Solutions in 2001, Siemens Healthcare in 2008, and Bernd Montag as Global CEO in 2015. Changed its current name in May 2016 and officially became a subsidiary of Siemens that independently operates the medical business. There are 45,000 employees worldwide. Most are located in Germany. The company was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in March 2018, and it is the highest listed company after Deutsche Telekom in 1996.
 
On August 8, 2019, Siemens Medical acquired the US surgical robot manufacturing company Corindus Vascular Robotics for US $ 4.28 per share in cash and spent 1 billion euros (approximately US $ 1.1 billion).
