Characteristics of TPU polyurethane:
TPU polyurethane material has the hardness and high mechanical strength similar to ordinary thermoplastic plastics. It can be produced by plastic processing method. At the same time, it has the elongation, resilience and compression deformation recovery properties of general elastomers. With TPUR's high tensile strength and elongation at break, especially excellent tear resistance, flexibility and wear resistance, it can be used to prepare various resistances used in many fields such as automobiles, footwear, electrical appliances, and sports. Grinding and shock absorbing parts.
1. Mechanical properties: The material is suitable for working in the harsh environment of long-term load, and the wear resistance is excellent.
2. Heat resistance: The heat resistance of the material is not outstanding. It is only allowed to be exposed to the working environment below 80 °C for a long time. The soft and medium hardness grade TPU can be exposed to the environment at 100 °C for a short time. . The high hardness grade can work in a short time at 120 °C. The TPU has excellent low temperature performance and high impact strength. The material will not break under -20 °C.
3, chemical properties: Because it is mainly composed of direct chain chemical bonds, the ability to resist external media erosion is poor, so acid and alkali resistant chemicals are poor, and there is a greater solubility in automotive oils containing ethanol. Upward, but good resistance to pure mineral oil and ester media.
4, weather resistance: general TPU weather resistance is good. Although it produces a slight yellowing under long-term exposure to ultraviolet light, the properties of the material are not greatly affected. The TPU products usually used in outdoor applications are equipped with UV absorbers. Sometimes, carbon black pigments can be added when the conditions permit, so that the materials can effectively absorb ultraviolet rays or shield ultraviolet rays and improve the service life of the materials. The disadvantages of this type of product are that it is less resistant to oil, heat and mechanical properties than CPU materials.
